Solid State Welding System
For welding CD pins and threaded studs up to
1/4 - 20 (M6) diameter.
The LS-400 is a solid state capacitor discharge welding system designed for welding various pins up to 10 ga. (3.42mm) and threaded studs up to 1/4 - 20 (M6) diameter, using a contact welding mode. It consists of the control/power pack, Model 250C weld gun, gun lead extension and ground cable with grounding clamp. The solid state power pack provides the source of energy for the welding process and all control and timing functions.
This system is capable of making up to 20 welds per minute, depending on the application. Weldable materials include steel, stainless steel and aluminum, as well as many of the copper and brass alloys.

250C gunThe Model 250C Weld Gun has an operator actuated trigger button. The pin or stud must be in contact with the workpiece before the weld cycle can be actuated. Also, the control/power pack has an automatic discharge circuit, which is activated when the AC line switch is placed in the "off" position, or if the top cover is removed. These are some of the many safety features built into the AGM capacitor discharge welding system.
